i got a fantastic haircut monday, my stylist gave me a huge hug afterwards because we were both so excited about it. he's the best, he understands my hair. he says things like "nooo, no, cl-ow-dia, i know for you. i know what i do" he makes me look fabulous, and the very best part is that he can hardly speak english so i dont have to engage in the hair-cut small talk that always makes me uncomfortable. i love him. this haircut almost makes up for the fact that i lost all of my belongings while in boston over the weekend. all of them. name it. gone. my friends lost all of their belongings, too. we were changing houses mid-trip and had tossed our bags in the trunk of the cab. traveling along yapping away, yap yap yap oh i love those shoes yap yap and this one product for your hair and oh my god. get out of the car, holy shit our bags are still in the trunk. the amount of elapsed time was only a couple of seconds, but long enough for him to zip off, back into the sea of white cabs. if there is one thing i can say about the experience it is that it will never happen again. its funny how life's lessons work.
