Knitting is not easy. Ive been trying for almost one week, and I have nothing. No knitting. I lost count of the number of times it goes on, comes off. Go on. Come off. Look, look a knit. I knit. I totally knit. Wait. What the fuck? What is that, shit, where does this go? Unravel. At first, the “casting on” part was hard and that took me a good three days. I think now I have that, or something that will work enough. In the knit part I can totally make the regular pattern, no problem. But my beginner project, a washcloth, has a pattern that goddamn, it won’t go like that, woman! I don’t get it. Realize, I am a crafty person. While my crafts are few and far between, when I decide to, Im usually pretty good at it. On completion of my first cast-on row, prior to the realization that what I had was not actually a cast on row, but something else that would somehow fuck everything up, I proclaimed “I rule, I totally just knit. This is so something that im going to be so good at.” And you know, I have so much respect for all those knitting ladies because it is hard! Hard!
