When I was living in New Orleans I heard about a place called "cancer alley.” Located in the stretch between NOLA and Baton Rouge, chemical plants along the Mississippi river have contaminated the water so much that the rate of cancer in people reaches up to 80%. Some people say it’s a myth. That may be true, but I also noticed when I met a person from Baton Rouge in school they, more often than not, had a dead or dying family member. My scientific deduction is certainly less than rigorous, but Ive noticed another little “trend” since living in beautiful Pleasanton, CA. -- there are tons of retarded kids. All over the place. Its rare to walk around on a Saturday afternoon and not see more than one. Go to a Friday evening concert in the park and you’ll see three or four. At first I thought it was a suburban thing, but I grew up in the suburbs. There are way too many retarded kids here. It makes me scared to drink the water. All I can tell you is, im am not having kids in this town.
